Tree of Patience In the heart of bustling Seattle lies the serene Seattle Japanese Garden, my autumn sanctuary. As a photographer, I've devoted myself to a single, beloved subject—a majestic maple tree within the garden. Every week, I faithfully journey to this tranquil oasis, cradling my camera and a persistent dream of capturing the tree in its full autumn glory. With each visit, I chronicle the tree's subtle transformation, from the first hints of amber and crimson to the play of dappled sunlight among its leaves. Through the seasons, I patiently await nature's fickle inspiration, forging bonds with the garden and its keepers. Then, on an early October morning, it happens—the maple bursts into vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows. With my camera in hand, I immortalize this moment, a perfect representation of autumn's splendor against the garden's tranquil backdrop, feeling a profound sense of accomplishment and contentment as I realize the endless stories this sanctuary has yet to unveil.

Magic at Dusk, Singapore's Famous Skyline
This is one of my favorite photos of Singapore, taken during the rainy season, but this particular day was unusually sunny. So, I thought I would take a chance and try to capture one of Singapore’s amazing sunsets. I loaded the front bag of my foldable city bike with my camera gear, sprayed anti-mosquito perfume over my entire body, and set off on my latest adventure. When I arrived I was disappointed to see that the clouds had rolled in and completely covered the blue sky. But, I was determined and hopeful. I found a small space between the bushes big enough for me to set up my camera and my tripod and I prepared to patiently wait. While I waited, I did various test shots, testing various filters, utilized HDR and later long exposure photography. And then, just like magic, the sky started to reveal itself again. Just enough to let the perfect amount of light through. It was “Magic At Dusk”.
